About Phil

I am proud to be a 7th generation New Mexican, with deep roots in the middle Rio Grande valley. As a husband to my wife Adelina and a father to my five sons, family has always been at the center of my life. Two of my oldest sons have bravely served, or are currently serving, in the military as Marines, and I couldn’t be more proud of their dedication to our country.

Education is a top priority for me, which is why I am committed to ensuring that all children in Albuquerque have access to quality public education. Currently, my three younger sons are attending public schools in our community. I myself am a proud graduate of Valley High School, class of 1996.

Professionally, I am a project manager and a Union Refrigeration journeyman, working at my family business. Our small business is a signatory company with Local UA 412, and I am honored to contribute to the success of our local economy.

In my free time, I find joy in working with kids and giving back to the community. I volunteer with the local little league as the district safety officer and umpire, fostering a love for sports and instilling important values in our youth. I had the incredible opportunity to umpire the 2023
Senior Baseball Little League World Series in Esley SC, an experience that further fueled my passion for supporting young athletes.

I was appointed to the Construction Industry’s Commission in 2019. I am proud to have been voted in as the Vice Chairman for the industry in 2021, where I work tirelessly to advocate for the interests of our hardworking workers and businesses. In addition, I recognize the importance of  environmental justice within industry in our state, which makes my role on the Commission that much more impactful within my community.

I am running for office because I believe in the power of community and the potential for positive change. With my experience, dedication, and passion, I am committed to representing the residents of New Mexico and fighting for a better future for all.

Join me on this journey, and together, let’s build a brighter tomorrow for New Mexico.
